On Saturday May 4, 1974 a meeting was called by Illustrious John H. Jones, Jr. for all present and past Loyal Lady Rulers, and elected officers of Esther Assembly No. 1, Frederick Valley Assembly No. 270, and John H. Jones, Jr. Assembly No.
284; Order of the Golden Circle of the State of Maryland to assemble at the Willard W. Allen Masonic Temple; Baltimore, MD for the purpose of organizing a State Grand Assembly.
The
host Queen Esther Assembly No. 1 opened in ritualistic form with Loyal Lady Ruler Geraldine Watty officiating. The gavel of authority was turned over to Ill. John H. Jones, Jr. who extended a cordial welcome to all. The purpose for assembling
was stated and a day long to be remembered began.

of the United Supreme Council, 33º Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Prince Hall Affiliation, Southern Jurisdiction of the United States of America, Inc. was organized under the direction of Ill. John H. Jones, Jr. 33º
Deputy of the Orient and State of Maryland with the authority of Ill. John G. Lewis, Jr. 33º, Sovereign Grand Commander.

33º who served the United Supreme Council 33º Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Prince Hall Affiliation Southern Jurisdiction of the United States of America, Inc. as the Secretary General of the Holy Empire and Ill. Samuel
T. Daniels, 33º Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, F. & A. M. of Maryland and its Jurisdiction, Inc.
To complete this most eventful day, the State Grand Assembly was invited
to join the Illustrious Sirs for a delightful dinner. Since the argumentation several committees has been appointed for the State Grand Assembly more especially the Ways and Means; Advisory; By-Laws; Hospitality; Workshop; Social Activities;
Public Relations; Historian; Souvenir Journal and Registration.
On May 3rd and 4th of 1975, the Annual Council of Deliberation of Maryland met in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish
Rite Temple of Freemasonry in Salisbury, Maryland, King David Consistory No. 284 host by Illustrious Commander-in-Chief Thomas H. Dennis 32º. Keeping in line and respecting the Constitution and By-Laws of the United Supreme Council, the
Annual Communication for the State Grand Assembly is scheduled for the same date and location. John H. Jones, Jr. Assembly No. 284 auxiliary to King David Consistory No. 284 was host the State Grand Assembly.
